Matt,

Thanks for the tip to Camera Toss. I moderate the Camera Toss group on flickr.com, along with Ryan Gallagher (who created the Blog site), and Jens Ludwig. Let me know if you have any questions regarding the technique, tips, or tricks.

All the Best,

Michael,

Get a copy of the book Color Management for Photographers by Andrew Rodney. It will give you a ton of information on CM, profiles, calibration, etc., plus tutorials in the back. Very good book and highly recommended.

Hey Matt, the news about color management in Firefox 3 sparked my interest in a touch subject for me and photography. I am confused (mainly due to ignorance) about managing my color spaces and calibrating my computer monitor. I would really appreciate an informative video on how to calibrate our monitors. Also, is there anything we need to know about our cameras color profile? Thanks so much.

Hey Matt,

Thanks for the mention of my blog.

Not much activity the last two weeks, since I have been traveling around the beautiful state of Oregon and as I write this comment I'm in smoky northern California. (it's sad to see such a beautiful area get burnt out like this, but I guess it's mother nature's way of rejuvenating life, just wish she waited till I got to where I was going)

I want to thank all the NAPP team for getting me inspired to continue to learn and improve my photography and my photoshop techniques.

I guess that I am an example that an "Old Dog " can learn new tricks.

Thanks,

I have imported a bunch of old scanned photos into LR. In the "Date Created" section of the metadata, I have entered the approx. year of creation.

Is there a way to sort by this specific item only?

Thanks!

Regarding Color management in browsers, it can be tough. I know I was one who could not figure out why my pictures looked great, and then I got them online they were bland and desaturated looking.

After some research I found out about the browser color issues, and not know I need to get all my web images into SRGB and not Adobe RGB if I want them to look right.

Maybe you should do a tip about color profiles and setting in LR. Then again maybe I should :-)
