I just registered for Photoshop World. The Pre-Cons I am most interested in are On Location Wedding Photo Shoot with Ziser, Believing is Seeing - Turn Ideas into Reality with Versace, Lighting, Posing, Metering and Photographing Fashion with Ames.

For new class ideas. Photoshop for new Fathers which will come in handy in October. Just kidding about the class idea. I will be a first time father in October though.

This will be my 3rd PSW and I am stoked. There is never a shortage of classes to attend and people to meet.

Hey Matt,
I just had to take a minute and write to you because I am really excited to be attending my first Photoshop World. My love for all things Photoshop actually started about a year ago in April when I attended the very first "Lightroom Live Tour" at the LA Convention Center with Scott Kelby moderating. I hadn't touched Photoshop prior to this, but with Lightroom as the gateway and some of Scott's little "tips" that involved Photoshop, I quickly became hooked.
I joined NAPP a few weeks later and have been retouching, layer masking, Smart Objecting etc ever since. I am sort of a Photoshop "geek" these days.

As an aside, I just registered a new car and my plates will read: PSD NRD (yes, really!)

I was one of the first to buy your recent Layers Book (thank you for autographing it!), and I found it most informative.

I was also one of the first to sign up for Kelby Online Training in December, and I've taken close to 20 classes thus far (I guess I really AM a bit of a Photoshop Nerd - hey that's cool, I'm in good company!)

As for Photoshop World, I am psyched because I am going to the Wedding Shoot Precon with David Ziser and I think it will be one of the coolest experiences I can imagine. After all - what greater subject that a happy bride - and photography tips and techniques from a master...heaven!

So, I just wanted to say thank you for your talent and thank you for inspiring me regularly via PhotoshopUser TV, your NAPP videos, your Kelby Online COurses, this site and all of the other things you are involved in!

My only sadness is that I ordered a ProPass and they were sold out - I was dying for the bag to carry my stuff in - that would have been a real coup!

Anyway, I'll survive without the bag, I suppose, and I cannot wait to experience my first Photoshop World in September.

Thanks for everything, Matt!

Hey Matt - sorry for the double post. I realized that I did not put in the sessions I am excited to go to. Well, here they are:

- pre-con: would love to get a chance to be in joe mcnally's class but it's sold out. i saw a glimpse of his session on kelby training and i loved his humor... (of course, the photoshop guys' humor is still better :) )
- pre-con: david ziser's wedding and LAB session by dan margulis
- scott's typography class
- corey barker's earth, wind and fire - i'm always amazed at how fast corey does all his tutorials
- the retouching sessions (scott and the others)
- joe mcnally's shooting for major magazines & location lighting
- all the lighting classes: lighting food, etc. -> this is where i have to learn more in photography so i'm concentrating on this one

I can't believe that there's a lot of sessions that are getting my hyped! There's just too much to choose from and I feel that I'm missing out on something after I pick a class! Aaargh!

Since I'm a fan of LR, I was thinking that a session on LR2 and how to extend the Print functionality would be a good addition. There's already a printing class but I'm thinking more on extending the print functionality, maximizing the flexibility of the print module (for layouts, etc). The basic idea is to start in LR, edit basics in LR, go to Photoshop to do everything, and then go to LR's print module to either output to web (with different layouts) or print it.

Overall, I'm just excited to be there. I know you guys have been saying a lot of things about it... It's just different once you experience it live!

Hoping to meet you guys there while you tape Photoshop User TV!

Oh, one more thing - I'm really excited to see the keynote and to find out if you guys will do something special there! :)

Matt

What an outstanding group of instructors to choose from. "Masking" with Deke would definitely be my choice. Already registered for Vegas and was in Boston last year. I always look forward to learn from the best.

I'm psyched about the whole thing. I've signed up for this year already. After the last Photoshop World, I was so pumped, I vowed to stop thinking about taking the ACE exam and just study for it and take it. I passed the CS2 test and recently, the CS3. Now that I've done that, I'm thinking what part of Photoshop to focus on out of the zillions of areas and I've found I love retouching and restoration best.

So....what I'm really pumped about is your "Photoshop Restoration Rescue" class.

Love the Lightroom Killer Tips site. It's a good example of a blog that's addictive.

I am most pysched-up about Ben Willmore's "Shooting for Photoshop" because he will address shooting in areas with mist and fog. I hope his tips will also be applicable to shooting in areas plagued by industrial haze. I love photographing in Hong Kong; the increase in industrial haze over the past 10 years has adversely affected landscape photography. Thus I am axiously awaiting "tips" on shooting under those situations.
