Monday Presets
Happy Monday to you. I've got an interesting group of presets for you today but first I wanted to thank my friend Jeff Revell of Photo Walk Pro for hosting a photo walk in Washington DC this past Saturday. I had an absolute blast and met some really great people.
OK, on to the preset (or should I say presets). You're going to love this one. Not more then me though, because I'm taking the week off (from presets that is, not work). Nick Tsakiris from www.protographytx.com sent a message last week about some presets that he's offering for free. "Free Presets?", I said. I was pretty skeptical because anyone offering presets for FREE must be one really cool guy ;) Anyway, Nick sent a message and included a link. I downloaded them and I have to say that they're really really good. They definitely get my seal of approval which is why I'm putting them here. So go try Nick's presets by downloading them here. There's around 18 of them in the package and they're well worth installing.
Thanks again to Jeff for hosting the photo walk and to Nick for helping give me the week off from presets (I'm really not as lazy as I sound) :) Have a great day!

Matt: Thanks for posting these LR presets. The “Old Timee” one is outstanding! As usual, you point me in directions I’d never find by myself. Same thing goes for all the other guys at NAPP.

Thanks everyone but the credit really goes to Nick. I’ve sent him an email to make sure he reads the comments here.
Oh and thanks Mike for ordering the book. I’ll make sure it doesn’t go to the Meyer guy (he totally cracked me up though). It was great meeting you.

Thanks for so many wonderful presets. They are really helpful and so much fun to work with. But, the list of User Presets is now getting very very long. Is there any way to organize them into subfolders?
Also, just received my copy of your Layers book. Looks great, I’m anxious to start going through it.

Just answered my own question. Control-Click or Right-Click on one of the preset headings and “New Folder” comes up as a choice. Then I moved your presets into their own new folder.

Guys, thanks for the shouts!
I hope you get good use from them. I will be releasing more for a small fee. I have 3 Volumes and a Baby Set. I will be making LR presets for every type of photography. If you are interested in getting more presets or even getting on my email list drop me an email nick@protographytx.com and I will keep you informed on whats new. Maybe Matt will even allow me to post some more freebies in the future.
Thanks Matt!
Thanks to all of you for your support and I hope you enjoy the presets

Hi Matt. Thanks, but how do I install them?
March 20th, 2008 at 12:59 pm
Great presets.
For those interested… If you take the “Golden” preset and change it back to color it creates a very nice result. You can see examples on my site or at flickr: http://www.flickr.com/photos/gregoryhughdavidson/2344590019/in/photostream/ (the previous 3 images have the same preset)

Hello Matt,
First off, Thank you for all of your video podcasts. They’ve been really informative and a ton of help for new LR2 users like me.
My question is: I saw there were 18 presets from Nick Tsakiris that were available for downloading. I can’t seem to find them anywhere. Have you got any idea where I can get them?
Thank you very much, your help is greatly appreciated.
