I am having the same problem as some other Lightroom users....if I print from Lightroom I get very Light printouts. If I take the picture into Photoshop, the same picture prints out fine. I am using the printing protocol in Lightroom as prescribed but for some reason the final output is awful. I am using an Epson 3800 which is an amazing inkjet that gives me stellar results when using Photoshop.

Even though I get the same printer interface when inside the print module in Lightroom, I can't get an output I can use. I have spent hours trying to tweak the settings in Lightroom (thinking it was something I was doing wrong) but at this point, I am just frustrated. I am using an iMac 24", 2.6Ghz with my Epson 3800.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. I really want to use Lightroom's printer module because otherwise, my workflow is severely hampered and I really want to use some of the nifty things that are available in the print module.

Thanks in advance for any help you can send my way,
kenyon

Dear Matt,
Adobe has withdrawn LR 1.4. and Camera Raw 4.4 and recommends to downgrading to 1.3 or 4.3.1. Please check Tom Hogartys entry on http://blogs.adobe.com/lightroomjournal/2008/03/important_lightroom_14_and_cam.html

The 1.4 update will mess up your thumbnails if you are an Olympus camera owner. I found I had the same problem as Berian who posted above. My thumbnails have a small duplicate photo in them in the upper left hand corner. Per www.Lightroomforums.net I found it was indiginous (spelling?) to the Olympus E series of cameras. Only solution I found was to peel back to 1.3. I did it by downloading the version 1.3.1. I would advise Olympus users to hold off for now on the 1.4 or try it and see if you get it. It happens to random images, not in all of them but in new and old.

Scott,

Press T to toggle your Toolbar back on. Then press F to cycle through the screen modes to get the min/max/close buttons back. These are all interface modifications that have existed since Lightroom was introduced.

Please be careful under windows LR 1.4 is touching our RAW files and changes the timestamp of the file.
If you want that your RAW file are not toughed to NOT upgrade to 1.4.
It is a confirmed BUG.

Just installed 1.4...can anyone tell me where the edit tool bar went (crop, spot removal, etc)? The one that sits directly below the image in the Develop module? Also missing the Windows minimize, maximize and exit buttons...program error or new "features"?
