Monday Presets - Creative Printing
A few weeks ago I posted this video on creating a custom contact sheet that actually looks more like a cool print then it does a contact sheet. If you missed the video or are just too plain lazy and never got around to creating the preset, then you’re in luck today. Even if you saw the video and created the preset, you’ll like this one because there’s an extra for you. This week I’ve created two printing presets that were born from one of the Contact Sheet presets in Lightroom’s Print module. One is a 3×3 grid and the other is a 2×2 grid. The 3×3 requires that you have 9 photos and the 2×2 needs 4 (I know, simple math but hey, it’s Monday and I didn’t want to make you think too much) 
. They’re an awesome way to spice up a simple print. Plus, sometimes you’ve got a bunch of photos that, by themselves, aren’t print worthy but when they’re all together easily pull of a pro-quality print. I’ve got lots more that I’ll be sharing over the coming months but here are a couple to get you going.

Ditto, on previous comments regarding a terrific and informative site. LKT is also my homepage. Among the great tips, I look forward to Monday’s Presets.
My question is in reference to the Print Presets you posted on November 5th. I noticed that the files were significantly larger than all of my other presets (122KB vs. ~2KB). Upon opening them in Wordpad, I saw a string of characters that did not make sense to me and was hoping you could clarify the meaning. The value in question is “_printInfo = ” and the string of characters that follows looks like so…””BAtzdHJlYW10eXBlZIHoA4QBQISEhAtOU1ByaW50SW”…except that the sting goes on for miles and miles. I downloaded it again today before I wrote this in the event my previous download was corrupted but the sting is still there.
Please tell us how the string was generated and what function it “tells” LR to perform.

Loving all the presets, but i notice that these two will not show my identity plate no matter what I do. Any thought?

I LOVE THE PRESETS you produce however I have a question regarding printing.
When printing from CS3 I can let the software handle all the colour files therefore the colours on screen are what get printed. When I print from LR there is no option for this and the printer takes over and makes everything much much darker. Any suggestions would be great as its much easier to print using LR BUT I hate the results.

Is it possible to “export” or “save” the designed print preset page, then submit it to have it printed by a photo lab, as opposed to printing it at home?

Is it possible to switch the pictures around…I know you can resize, etc. But want to switch places with photos…can’t seem to figure out how to do that.
