Friday Tip - Before and After Shortcut
I’m sad to say that I just found this keyboard shortcut recently. So I’m both excited about it because now I know a really cool shortcut, but slightly embarrassed because I never found it before. Anyway, here it is. Lightroom has a before and after view of your images which most people know about. However, if you press the backslash key ( \ ) that toggles between your current view and the before view. So if you’re ever unsure about the effect of something you’re doing in Lightroom, just hit the backslash key to see a before view. Hit it again to see the after. Cool huh? As soon as Lightroom 1.1 was released the requests for more information on the new sharpening sliders started to flood my inbox. So this week we’re going to take a look at the sharpening sliders and I’ll show you exactly what they do. I’ll show you on a landscape photo and a portrait since each type of photo reacts differently to each slider.
